One Year Ago Today

On Monday morning we headed back to where we had the block party to lead a VBS at a local school. The pastor was able to get permission from the principal and head of schools for us to come into the school. The kids were all very excited to have visitors there. A lot of our plans changed as we went along, but everything went as smoothly as it could have. We had a skit and praise and worship time for them followed by games - really it was free play. We also went in the classrooms and rotated around. My group was crafts, we also had a music group and bible story group. The first day was challenging as we were not able to communicate with some of them, but everything went just as well as we could have hoped and prayed for it to go. The first day was focused on the story of the creation. I will let the pictures do the talking...
