Still Rolling with the Tide!

Getting ready for another exciting weekend in AL! This game is Homecoming, so it may not be the most exciting game, but it still should be fun!
I will be posting some exciting news when I get back, so get ready! Sorry to leave you all in anticipation, but I have to go pack before my mom gets home!
PS...I start listening to Christmas music on Nov. 1st...I can't wait!!!

This morning...

  • the stars were still out as I drove to work.
  • it was freezing cold.
  • the smell of a nearby fire made me feel only slightly warm...actually it made me want to go back inside and crawl into bed.
  • my car had frost on the windshield for the first time this season...the defrost on a new car works a lot better/faster than on a 10 year old car.
  • my first patient was so excited to see me bright and early this morning. :)

Happy Birthday, Huddy!

Jason, you are a great big brother! I hope your day is extra special and fun this year.

No need to act your age on your birthday!
Thanks for always letting me tag along!

I am sure you will probably ask for the same thing you did when you were that age...another video game. Some things never change.

I love you!
Sara

A High School Homecoming

It wouldn't be Fall without going to a High School football game and homecoming on a football field definitely reminds me of Fall. It really felt like football season with the temperature dropping this week...which I love! I just love this season with all the colors and the cooler weather.

Ashley with her dad.
My dad telling Ashley that the winner of the AL/TN game would help her decide where to go to school next year. I guess she is going to AL!

Rolling with the Tide!

We all had another fun weekend in Alabama cheering on the Tide! It was not a pretty win, but a win is a win! Here are some pictures from Saturday before, during, and after the game! It was a long day!!!

Dad is pretty excited about his new apron and the game!

Dad and Uncle Jerry ready to cheer for the Tide!

More fun after the game!

Yet Another Weekend Road Trip

This weekend takes me to Alabama for the AL/Ole Miss game! I am excited about going because it has been over a month since I have been to a game, but so tired from being on the road all month that I kind of want to stay home and sleep. I am going in to work at 6am (out the door by 5:30am), so I can get off early and get on the road. It is already 8:30, and I have not packed which means the early morning will be even more difficult! Yikes! Also, I am procrastinating because I can't decide what to wear for the game. Guess I will pack a few options!
I made my cute football cookies again...I have it down to a science on rolling, cutting, baking, and decorating, so it didn't take too long last night. They are in the freezer to stay nice and fresh...hopefully! I did burn a few as I forgot to set the timer almost every time...it's been a long week...good, but long!
Hope you all have a fun weekend! Roll Tide!!!!!

Do I Have Enough?

If it isn't already bad enough that I have bought myself tons of owl items lately, the box of baby gifts for future owl babies is busting at the seams. This isn't even all of it as I just got more in the mail last week. I mean seriously...I either need a bigger box, need to stop buying (which would be a good idea...anyone interested in forming a support group?) or someone needs to start having some owl babies...thanks in advance. :)

From One Side of the State to the Other

Last weekend, I headed to West TN, and this weekend I ventured to East TN. I was able to leave work a little early to beat rush hour traffic in Nashville but did have a bit of a slow down on 440 because of a wreck. My dad's GPS got me through downtown Chattanooga to my destination with no problem! There were a few times over the weekend that I questioned the directions, but I made it everywhere I needed to go. I wish I had had a GPS when I first headed off to college and then while living in Nashville. Maybe I would not have had to tape directions to my steering wheel...yes, I did do that a few times..ok, many times!
I had a great visit with a friend all weekend. We did lots of shopping (I bought more owls!), eating, and laughing. We laughed and acted like total goofballs in public places. We also almost got towed while shopping downtown. A very eventful weekend for sure! It was such a nice weekend to get away and not worry about anything! I also spent Saturday morning/afternoon with my granddaddy and had a nice visit with him. We ventured into town and went to eat at one of my other favorite places...Panera! I was sick of eating there when I lived in Nashville, but I have come to miss it a little now! I wish I had had more time over the summer to get over there because it really wasn't a bad drive. I made it in a little under 4 hours both times...I did not make any stops along the way because I wanted to beat the estimated arrival time the GPS posted...I did both times! :) The drive was also even better since it was such a pretty weekend and the leaves are starting to change...Fall is here!
This weekend will not bring any road trips or adventures...finally! Maybe I will have time to finish unpacking/repacking things I don't need. Then the next weekend will be back to AL for football!

On the Road Again!

Leaving work early tomorrow to go see a friend and my Granddaddy! I don't even have to go in at 6am this time! Woohoo!
