Project Pics!

A coworker is going to my favorite place in a few weeks and bought the shirt/fabric for me to sew her little girl a shirt to wear while they are there. It is not perfect but turned out pretty cute. I hear she has a matching skirt! She also had someone else who has an embroidery machine make a really cute shirt with a girl with mouse ears...I think. It was really cute though and something I would definitely like to be able to do...maybe I will get an embroidery machine one of these days and the software for DW stuff!!

One of our coworkers took a job in the school system, so we had a potluck before she left us. She said she loves strawberry cake so just a few days after making dad's cake, I made some cupcakes to take to work. There were not many left at the end of the day! This picture is really bad, but the sprinkles are pearl white and so pretty! ha!

We are headed to see family soon, so I had to make stuff for my cousins! My cousin is having another little boy in Dec., so I made her some burp cloths and a bib with an Alabama/Football theme! I think they turned out so cute!

My other cousin has a little girl, so this cute shirt is going to her! It did not turn out how I wanted it to...oh well!

This one is going to my cousin's little boy! I really like this one and the shirt from ON is so soft! The football is with corduroy fabric!

These cute letters are for a coworker. We went to HL one day to buy these and scrapbook paper and everything else she needed to make the letters. When we were getting stuff, I decided there was no reason to buy stuff when I have it all at home. She picked out paper that would work to match the bedding but it didn't have any orange in it. I was thinking about it when I got home and decided it would be too cute painted to match. I told her if it looked bad I would cover it with the paper. It turned out pretty good and matches, too! It is not perfect but they like it and that is all that matters! ha!
I still have more projects on my to do list that seems to be growing instead of shrinking...good thing I enjoy crafty things! ha!

And the Winner is...

...Nekayeh!!!
So what did I make...
Is it a bird?
or a plane?

No, it's super capes

For super kids!

I had to make 21 for boys and 17 for girls but made 4 extras just in case! I still have more fabric but after sewing through my finger on the last few, I am going to wait until I make any more yellow capes! ha!

The cute shirts for the graduates...boys had blue!
The kids were sooooo cute this morning! I don't have pictures for privacy reasons, but seriously they were cute in their shirts and capes!!

Thanks for guessing! There were some really good ideas that we might could use next year!!

E is for Ella

This set is going to one of my friends and XO sisters who just had a little legacy! I hope she doesn't read this because I have not put it in the mail! ha!

I have been wanting to use this super cute owl fabric and was planning on using it for a pillowcase dress, but thought that this would make the sweetest blanket with pink minky dot fabric on the other side.

*More owl gifts coming soon!!!

C is for Cade

After my marathon sewing adventure last week, I was definitely ready to take a sewing break (and get some sleep!). I had a few more gifts I wanted to make before putting everything away. I made this burp cloth and bib for my mom to give to one of her coworkers. I have not had a chance to use this airplane fabric, and I thought it was the perfect opportunity!

Anna Kate

My bestest friend asked me to make this gift set for a friend of hers! She loved it so much she asked for a bib that she could wear to restaurants...no lie. She will get an apron if she is lucky.

Sew Busy

I have been busy with sewing projects the last few days with even more creations coming soon! Here are some of my most recent creations!

This little owl shirt and matching bag were a gift to sweet Adelyn who turned one today! I have had this finished for a while, but I wanted Laura to be surprised when she and Adelyn opened her gifts!!

I had a wedding shower to go to this morning and made two dish towels and an apron for the gift! I really liked how these turned out and learned a little trick to make the embroidery process a lot easier!

This is on the back to hang up the towel!

The two dish towels folded.

Dish towels and apron!

This bib was a gift for a co-worker who is expecting a little girl any day now! I also added a little book to this.

Being Productive on a Snow Day!

It is amazing what can be accomplished on a snow day...allergy shots, alterations on pants, running, installing Photoshop and having no clue what to do next, and of course sewing! I was not feeling creative this weekend, so I was excited that I had today off to get busy on my ever growing list of sewing projects. I can't post all of it on here today but will in just a few short weeks. I worked on an order from a friend to give to a coworker who is a XO! I love this cute little owl!!
I was even able to embroider it on the bib! I am definitely getting more comfortable with embroidery and even did the "C" pictured below on the burp cloth. I really love how it turned out!!

These colors/fabrics are just so much fun!
I started back to running on Friday after taking a very long break. I should have started earlier since I signed up for a 5K that is this Saturday, but I had trouble getting motivated. I have already improved my time after 2 runs...even if it is only by a second...improvement is improvement!! I even bought custom shoe inserts to decrease the pain I have had in my foot the last few months...so far so good...not pain free but better!
I am really excited about learning how to use photoshop! I just opened it and didn't even know where to start, so I have LOTS to learn but I am sure it will be a fun learning experience!
I may have to work on Friday since we were closed today but either way, I loved having this day to really be productive and the day is not even finished...off to do more...more pictures of sewing projects coming very soon!!

Sew Much Fun!

I am having so much fun sewing! The bib is for a friend's nephew. This was the first time I tried embroidering and while it was not easy at first, I think I have the hang of it.

I love how this blanket turned out. It is going to a friend who has a baby shower to go to this weekend for one of her friends to welcome little Easton. They like Tennessee, so she asked for a TN burp cloth as well.

I had another last minute in house order...thanks, mom. :)
This is for baby Elizabeth! These fabrics are just so fun and happy!

I also embroidered the E for Elizabeth's bib!

H is for Hallie

I have been sewing some more this weekend. Here is something I made for a friend from High School/Church who had a little girl in October. I never sent her anything, so I decided to pull out some of my new fabric and make something for sweet baby Hallie.
Another taggie with the pale pink minky dot fabric on the other side.

This might be some of my favorite fabric!!!

More coming soon! I have new fabric coming in this week to finish up a gift for one of my cousins and have to wait to post a few other things!!
