Work in Progress

This is Sally being helpful while I unloaded my car!

While this may look like a hissing cat, it is in fact a cat in mid-yawn!

I have a lot to unpack. Where is Sally?
On the boxes of course!

My boring room with random coffee table and lots of boxes.

Dad painting the boring walls a bright light blue (with a hint of green)!

After moving back home, my plan went into action. I cleaned out my room and re-organized some things. My dad worked hard all day Saturday painting my room a light blue that is bright but doesn't show in the pictures. I am currently working on unpacking and working on my re-organization quest before starting work on Monday!! More pics will come as the room gets put together.

Week of Fun: Part 7

Yesterday was the last day in the week of fun. I went to Sunday School one more time and then met my parents for lunch. After that it was time to move out the last of all of my stuff and clean the apartment for inspection. I had time to spare before meeting up with classmates for the end of our fun week, so I went to the mall. I found some cute Disney pins at the Disney store to trade when I go to Disney World in December...I am a planner! I made a stop in the video game store to see if they happened to have a Wii. I have been wanting a Wii for some time, but I have not been able to find one and heard I might have to order one online. The store was also out, so I decided to give up my search until I was back home. I then went to roam target and on my way out made a stop in the electronics. Well, they had two Wii's. I finally found someone to help me and am now the proud owner of a Wii!! I can't wait to try it out when I get home!

I met some of my friends from class for dinner at Genghis Grill. It was really good this time! We had dessert at Chili's after that. It was great to visit with them. I am really going to miss these girls, but we are already planning when we can all get together again. I have been blessed to have these girls in my life the past three years and while there were stressful and trying times, we also had some great times. I look forward to hearing all about their adventures in the real world that we are all about to join!

I spent the night with a friend since I had completely moved out. We again stayed up too late getting pictures from graduation and other things from the end of the year. She had to babysit the next day and because we could not stand to part (haha!) I brought over lunch and hung out with her and the cute kiddo. We ended up painting water bottles for an upcoming birthday party the family was having for one of their girls. I of course love using paint pens and had a great time. We got a few pictures before saying goodbye and then I was on the road back to West TN. I am glad we had our week of fun after 3 years of school!!

Moving Day and Week of Fun: Part 6

Today was the big moving day. The movers were here at 8am sharp and had the truck loaded around 9:30. I stayed behind to clean while my parents headed home to direct the movers where everything should go. I will have my work cut out for me when I get back to try to organize an already furnished room with 3 years worth of stuff from my apartment. Maybe I should take before and after pictures! I hope to finish before I start working...I am thinking that might not completely happen, but don't worry mom...I have a plan! I have cleaned almost everything here and will finish loading up the last of my apartment tomorrow when my parents get back. I also plan on going to church or at least Sunday School tomorrow since it will be my last time here.
Tonight I continued my week of fun with a classmate. We went back to California Pizza Kitchen since there is not one in West TN. I tried to go buy the Nashville platter at Swoozie's, but they had already closed. There is a Life is Good store down there, too, with the softest shirts ever! I didn't buy anything, but they have really cute PJ's and flip flops...I love flip flops, but I couldn't decide on a pair. We then made our way over to the mall to Christie Cookies...very sweet but good. Ginny, I thought of you since you had them for one of your birthday celebrations at Union (at least I think that is where they came from). I did stop in Starbucks while we were there to get a Nashville mug. They have created city mugs, so I think it will be fun to have and maybe collect more if I ever get to go on a vacation!
Tomorrow is another busy day with the week of fun continuing, loading my car, and church!

Week of Fun: Part 5

This day was spent packing (not fun), but I did take a lunch break to visit with one of my college roommates. We only lived together one semester, but we have kept in touch through the years. Her family also lives in Jackson, but I just happened to run into her in Nashville, and found out that she is in grad school here! We met at the Hill Center in Green Hills for lunch at Zoe's Kitchen. It was really good. I hate that I hadn't tried it before now!! I had time before she got there and went into a really cute gift store. (Don't remember the name) I want to go back before I move to pick up a few things. They have a platter with places around Nashville on it, and I thought that would be a great graduation gift to myself to remember these last three years. Tomorrow is the big moving day, so I better finish this fun process of packing.

Week of Fun: Part 4

Tonight we went to the gym where I worked and basically acted like we were kids again. It was fun! I think Stacie's husband, Cody, had the most fun!

Cody and Stacie compete in an obstacle course created by me and Hannah.

Exam Results

I just checked my exam score...and I passed!!!!! I finally feel like I am finished with school!! Congrats to my classmates who have also passed! We did it!!!

Week of Fun: Part 3

Today was another fun day in the week of fun! I went to California Pizza Kitchen again for lunch with some friends. I am kind of sick of pizza at this point, but it was great to visit with some classmates/friends. I may pack them in the moving truck on Saturday. :)
We then went to see Made of Honor. I think I need to see it again because it was really good!! Definitely a girly movie...my favorite kind!
Tonight's plans were switched with tomorrow night. I got to spend time with a childhood friend from Hot Springs. We grew up together because our moms taught kindergarten at our school. We also went to the same church and were involved in youth group activities...camp fun! She is getting married in June, so we talked wedding plans and looked at some of my old scrapbooks from our high school days! We also made a quick run to Dippin' Dots (candy bar crunch for me tonight!) and watched 27 Dresses!! Well, the movie was playing, but we talked during all of it. It was really great to see her and catch up on her life! I hate that I am missing her wedding!
Looking forward to another day of fun tomorrow. I do have to fit in packing at some point!!
