A Weekend in Atlanta
I am in Atlanta with my family for a wedding. My cousin (on my mom's side) is getting married tonight!! Last night was the rehearsal dinner which was so good...the key lime pie was delightful!!
Today we got to spend time with my dad's side of the family and see the new house my cousin (Lesley) and her family are building. I can't wait to see it when it is finished!!
Here are some pictures of our time with them during lunch.

"It's Worth the Drive"
Today I went with my parents to Henco Furniture for the first time. It was really fun! We experienced it all from being greeted at the door by the owner (who talks to people like he is in one of the commercials...so fun!) to walking through the "town" to eating at the Whistle Stop Cafe. We even had one of their fresh baked cookies that they talk about on their commercials and just like they say, "it is worth the drive!" My parents bought a new couch and chair that I will happily buy from them in a year if they decide they don't like it...very comfy and cozy I might add. Dad and I picked it out!
After furniture shopping we went car shopping. I don't really care for car shopping especially when it is hot and when gas prices are ridiculously high now. I need something since mine is a '97, but I am not in a big hurry. We tried a new CR-V and a used Highlander today. I am sure we will try some others before I make this big purchase.
Oh, I survived my first week in the real world!

Sleepover
I was volunteered to help at a sleepover at my mom's school for a group of rising 4th and 5th grade girls. To say I was tired today would be an understatement. I literally slept all day...officially up for the day at 5:30pm after lots of cat naps during the day.
The night was fun with all sorts of activities for the girls. They started with shirt decorating while waiting on everyone to arrive. Then it was off to science lab and PE. I helped in the science lab as they made gak and watched Mentos chemically react with Diet Coke. They sang Karaoke, played with make-up, had arts and crafts, played on the playground, played Bingo, signed t-shirts, had snacks, and stayed up all night. I slept in my mom's office. Oh, to have the energy of a 10 year old again.

Here are a few pictures to show some of the fun of the night.
I can't inlcude much since I don't know these kiddos/families.

Wii Have Fun!
The Wii is so fun. We took it to my brother's on Monday, so I could beat him. :) He wants one now which means he will get to practice and beat me next time...well, it will take a lot of practice but maybe one day...haha...just kidding, Jason!
Dad is actually good and beat us both at bowling the first round.
The best fitness age is 20. Dad got a 38...I think. My first time I was in the 40's.
*I updated a lot today so keep reading!*
A Beautiful Spring Wedding
This past Saturday was one of the sweetest weddings I have ever been to. A friend from Union wanted to get married in a field and found a perfect location for her wedding. It was so beautiful! While it did threaten to rain and sprinkled some, the rain clouds moved away as the bride walked down the isle. Her reception was in the barn by the field. Cookies and fresh milk were served as the groom's cake and there was even a photo booth for guests to get pictures and leave one for the bride and groom in their scrapbook...such a cute idea! Other than my allergies going crazy, it was so fun! I enjoyed visiting with friends I had not seen in a few years, too!
The beautiful bride visiting with guests.
