Out of Control!

I have a new hobby, well, really an old hobby that has resurfaced and is out of control...shopping for anything owl. My new favorite thing about this is finding things for future "owl babies" because a) I like to plan ahead b) you never know when the owls will be out in the stores and when an "owl baby" will be on the way. Ebay has been a great source of owl items lately, but I finally made myself stop bidding...I had only lost one item and that was because I was at work...that is when I knew it was time to stop. :) I also ordered these cute burp cloths from Maggie Moo's Mom! So cute!! Here are some pics of a few of the items in the "owl baby" stash and one thing for me!

Family Reunion

Friday after work, mom and I headed for Alabama for my dad's family reunion (dad left earlier). We got there in time for fireworks but stayed at the house to visit with my aunt and uncle. Saturday was the family picnic with tons of good food and time to visit with all of my dad's cousins and their families...first time meeting many from his family.

Nascar Race: Memphis

Saturday night, my brother and I had pit passes to the truck series race in Memphis (Thanks again Amanda!). We had a great time! It was loud...but really cool. I love it when the trucks come in to the pit for new tires/gas...everything happens so fast! We were exhausted at the end, but it was an experience I will never forget. Jason got to catch the tires...he is still pretty pumped about that!

Buying my First Car: Part II

Thursday night I bought my first car...a 2008 Crimson 4Runner. I did not think I would be able to buy my "dream car" this time, but I got a better deal on this than on the CRV at Honda, so I knew I could not pass it up!
