Dad's Birthday

Friday night we all celebrated dad's birthday. We went out to eat and then came home to dad's favorite cake...homemade strawberry cake! He got this as a surprise last year and requested it this year. I wanted to try something new; however, he reminded me that it was his birthday and that is what he wanted, so that is what he got. :) After cake and ice cream, we played a little Wii! I had not played in forever, so my arms were burning the next day.

A Birthday and a Wedding!

We celebrated Melissa's birthday last Friday night and attended Claire's beautiful wedding on Saturday night! Fun yet busy weekend!!

Party in Paris

After a wedding shower Saturday morning, I went home and loaded up and headed to Paris, TN for Adelyn's first birthday! It was such a cute party with a fun Paris theme!

Week of Birthday Celebrations!

This week has been one big birthday celebration. I started celebrating Tuesday night having dinner with my parents and then ice cream cones from BR. I had a card on my desk at work with an owl on it (they know me too well already) and also had some sweet kiddos tell me Happy Birthday throughout the day. Mom had Bible study on my actual birthday, so my dad took me to Picasso! Yum! We then went back to BR, so I could pick out a cake...it's not a birthday without a cake!!

Friday night, I celebrated with friends! They were so sweet to have this yummy cake and ice cream for dessert after dinner. We ate at another one of my favorite places, made a quick trip to Target, talked, and watched the most disturbing movie ever.

Today, we went to Memphis to do some shopping and had dinner with my brother and sister-in-law. It was fun to visit with them and go shopping. I did some damage at Gap and then at the scrapbook store for Disney scrapbook items and also some owl scrapbook paper...so cute!

Goodbye 25

Hello 26!
25 was great...hoping 26 will be even better!

I did enjoy being 25 but am excited to see what 26 brings. A lot has happened this last year as I closed the books and in a sense ended a chapter in my life with graduation and then entered into a new chapter with a new job. I had the opportunity to do lots of mini trips on the weekends to catch up with friends and family and finally made it back to Disney! I changed jobs after only 5 1/2 months in my first real job and feel so blessed to have had that opportunity. I attended my first Alabama/Auburn game with Alabama winning!!! I have had time to work on some of my favorite hobbies and even added some new ones. It has been a good and busy year for sure but definitely one to remember.

Weekend in Alabama

This weekend we went to Alabama for the gymnastics meet and also a basketball game.

The gymnasts come out between these letters and then are introduced with fireworks. It is quite a show before the meet starts.

Unfortunately this was the worst home meet in years, and they lost to LSwho? I didn't even know they had a gymnastics team!

The next day we made a quick appearance at my cousin's 4th birthday party for more gymnastics fun.

Her favorite part was the pit or in her words, "blocks."

Another loss for the Tide this weekend as AL lost in the final seconds after having the lead most of the game.

We had dinner with family and had time to visit last night and this morning before heading back home. It was a great weekend despite the outcomes for both sports.

Happy Birthday Christy!!

Today is Christy's birthday, but we celebrated Friday night at a Japanese restaurant in town and then had dessert at her apartment. Christy was my grand big in XO and is still one of my good friends. I hope you have had a great birthday!!

Making a wish...we didn't have candles for the cake...oops!

I found a recipe on a blog and decided to try it out...brownie mix with cookie dough added to the brownie batter. Also, chocolate icing on top! It was soooooooo good!
