Bake Sale Cookies

We had another bake sale at work this past week and will have another one in October. This time I lost my mind and made and decorated 152 (really 155 but 3 broke)!! All 152 cookies sold! Well, my mom did buy the last 11! ha! It was a great success with all of the other goodies as well! Now to start planning what cookie cutters I will use for October - definitely will have a fall theme. :) 

Five on Friday

1. Ran 6.4 miles today - at mile 2 I was so bored - not good. Glad I finished though!

2. Received my Life Planner in the mail today - so cute and fun!!! So excited to try to get more organized with events, etc. It even came in a "happy" box! :)

3. I will be up to my eyeballs in cookies tomorrow as we are having our first bake sale of the fall starting Monday. Thinking about trying out some new shapes/cookie cutters! May do some classics as well.

4. I think I have finally recovered from pulling "all nighters" during rush week last week. I am too old to stay up that late. :) They got a great group of new members!!! It has been 10 years since I was a new member - great memories of that year!

5. The weather has been absolutely wonderful this last week after a very hot summer - wish it was this nice all the time!

5 on Friday!

1. Football season is just around the corner! Preparations have been in place all summer here at our house. Lots of football related applique orders have been in the works as well. Love these - even the little gator! :) 

2. Completed my long run for the week today. Was supposed to be 5.88 miles but the app froze with 1 mile left - Then when it came back on, I had 2 miles left. Guess I jogged 6.88 miles. :) Still hoping to complete a half in February 2012 and if not then for sure 2013. I need willing participants to go with me! ;)

3. Lots of appliqueing to complete today before seeing sweet friends this weekend.

4. Recruitment week starts this week! Yea! Can't wait to see everything Laura has picked out for Adelyn to wear! There will be way too many late nights and I forgot to take off Tuesday morning to sleep in a bit and now it is too late. Oh well! It is just Monday, Thursday, and Friday nights. Thankful that I have Friday off! :)

5. Fundraising at work is in full swing. We are doing 2 bake sales, 1 soup sale, and a repeat of the t-shirt sale! September and October look to be very busy! Anyone want to buy any cookies! ha!

Seven on Sunday

1. Today is my dad's 60th birthday!! We celebrated last night with Jason, Jessica, Will (and Ruby, too) and tonight at home. He of course requested strawberry cake - yummy! Sadly the layers moved around and the top was sliding off but it was still good. Happy Birthday Dad!! You are the best!!

2. Last weekend I took maternity pictures for a coworker. I was a little nervous because I have never taken any maternity pictures, but she and her husband were great and great sports in the heat, too! She looked absolutely beautiful, and I can't wait for her to see all of the pictures - finished them up this afternoon!

3. Yesterday, mom and I did a little shopping, and we stopped at PB outlet - love! I went a few weeks ago, too. :) Anyway, they had a really cute desk chair outside that had a few scratches but otherwise was in fairly good condition. It was just what I have wanted for my future craft room, so I of course bought it! I can't wait to get some sewing/appliqueing done tonight!!

4. Running is still going well. I start week 3 of 10k training tomorrow. I have survived a run that was a little over 5 miles, so I think I can continue without falling completely apart! Custom shoe inserts have helped tremendously! This weeks long run is another 5 miles. Should be fun!

5. This weekend I ordered a planner - my life is not the organized mess it used to be it is just a mess - I need additional help!! Can't wait to get it to help organize my life a little bit better but also because it is so colorful and fun!!! I am tired of knowing I have something on a particular date but not remember what exactly it was that I had on that day.

6. Last weekend I kept sweet baby Will so his parents could go out for a friends birthday dinner/celebrations. We had some good bonding time! :) I even let Ruby (the dog) snuggle with me after Will went to sleep... I don't like dogs. :) Oh, and Will clapped for the first time while I was there! yea! Making this OT aunt proud!!

7. I think I should have been a teacher - I love school supplies too much! Favorite part about back to school is the rush and excitement of buying school supplies. We bought supplies at work for a family, so that helped my obsession a little bit. Went into a teacher store yesterday and could have looked around all afternoon - I did get 3 new puzzles for my kiddos at work - I am just tired of the ones we have, and I know they are, too. Can't wait to try them out - all three make sounds!

5 on Friday!

1. As of this morning, I have successfully completed the JG 5k training app on my phone! Next up is the 10k app! Hoping all of this will help me successfully complete a half marathon in February 2012 and/or 2013.
2. My High School Reunion is this weekend - craziness!
3. My mom volunteered me to do a handwriting inservice at her school this afternoon - I have not had time to even look at the powerpoint I created a month ago. I don't know all the words/motions to songs I need to teach - this should be interesting. I don't like public speaking.
4. I have had a student all summer who has had 90% of my caseload the last month. Thursday was her last day. Monday will be a challenge for sure! Glad I had a great student though!
5. Trying to stay caught up on appliques, but that rarely is the case these days. :)

5 on Friday

1. I have been too busy or too tired to blog lately. Hoping to catch up or at least start back.
2. The Guatemala mission trip was great. I was VERY ready to be back home but it was an awesome experience and will try to post a video on here when I finish if it is not too long.

3. I have started back to running after a 2 year break due to plantar fasciitis and just not taking the time to work it back into my schedule. So far so good but have occasional plantar fasciitis pain - lots of ice and stretching! Today was my longest run so far at 3.3 miles, and it really wasn't bad other than the foot pain. My custom shoe inserts should be in this week which should help with that!

4. Still doing some appliques almost every week and cookies on occasion - but that is rare.

5. Mom, dad, and I kept Will last Saturday night - he is so sweet and the cutest little guy ever!
