Month of May...Get Ready for Picture Overload!

The month of May is almost over, and I have not blogged all month!! I just got wireless Internet last night, so tonight I am updating the blog from the last few weeks. There are lots of pictures...so sorry!

May started off with a sweet wedding: Sarah and Isaac! It was a beautiful wedding, and it was also great to see old friends from college!

Sara and Christy had a Fiesta for our Sunday School class.

We all had to wear the sombreros for a picture.

A few weekends ago, I got a call from one of my good friends in Arkansas asking me to come see her. I was free and loaded up my car the next weekend for the long 6 hour drive to see her and two other sweet friends. It was well worth the drive! We had a great time, and I can't wait to do it again...well, maybe meet somewhere closer!
Enjoying a little treat after dinner!

Kelli eating her first snow cone of the summer! It was always a tradition to go eat snow cones during the summer months in Arkansas...I don't think I have had one in TN...ever. Do they make them here?

My first snow cone of the summer and in a very long time!

Last Thursday we had a shower at work...I volunteered to make cupcakes! I think they are pretty cute and were definitely tasty!

Lauren opening her gifts at the shower!

Over Memorial Day weekend, my mom, dad, and I headed to Chattanooga to see my granddaddy. We decided to take him to the Aquarium! It was a lot of fun... a lot of walking, but fun to see everything. The penguins were a favorite, but I also enjoyed the butterflies.
How cute is he?

I don't know how I did it, but I love this picture!

A sea turtle!!

I don't know about you, but if I had a huge shark coming at me...I would NOT be smiling!

Dad had fun...maybe.

When I find time to learn photoshop...I will be editing this picture for sure!

Just going for a swim!
More fun things to come this month. Hopefully not all at once in the next post!

From One Side of the State to the Other

Last weekend, I headed to West TN, and this weekend I ventured to East TN. I was able to leave work a little early to beat rush hour traffic in Nashville but did have a bit of a slow down on 440 because of a wreck. My dad's GPS got me through downtown Chattanooga to my destination with no problem! There were a few times over the weekend that I questioned the directions, but I made it everywhere I needed to go. I wish I had had a GPS when I first headed off to college and then while living in Nashville. Maybe I would not have had to tape directions to my steering wheel...yes, I did do that a few times..ok, many times!
I had a great visit with a friend all weekend. We did lots of shopping (I bought more owls!), eating, and laughing. We laughed and acted like total goofballs in public places. We also almost got towed while shopping downtown. A very eventful weekend for sure! It was such a nice weekend to get away and not worry about anything! I also spent Saturday morning/afternoon with my granddaddy and had a nice visit with him. We ventured into town and went to eat at one of my other favorite places...Panera! I was sick of eating there when I lived in Nashville, but I have come to miss it a little now! I wish I had had more time over the summer to get over there because it really wasn't a bad drive. I made it in a little under 4 hours both times...I did not make any stops along the way because I wanted to beat the estimated arrival time the GPS posted...I did both times! :) The drive was also even better since it was such a pretty weekend and the leaves are starting to change...Fall is here!
This weekend will not bring any road trips or adventures...finally! Maybe I will have time to finish unpacking/repacking things I don't need. Then the next weekend will be back to AL for football!
